Police: Two men say they were shot while driving on interstate | fox4kc.com



BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Blue Springs Police are investigating a man’s report that he was shot while driving westbound on I-70 at Woods Chapel Road at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old man told police he was taking the Woods Chapel exit when he heard several loud pops. He says he stopped on the ramp to check to see if he had blown a tire.
Then, he says, he felt a pain in his leg and saw that he had been shot.
He went to the hospital and the injuries were not severe.
Meanwhile, police in Lee’s Summit say they are working with detectives in Lee’s Summit after a man reported he, too, was shot at on I-470 and Colbern Rd. at about 8:35 p.m. Tuesday night.
The man was not hit but officers did discover a single bullet hole in the back of the vehicle. They are working with the victim to develop a description of the suspected shooter.
Police could not yet determine if the two incidents were related. See map below for the distance between the two.
